Description
Phool Makhana is the puffed fluffy seed of the Lotus flower. They are full of fiber, calcium and a host of other nutrients. Phool Makhana can be boiled or roasted to eat as a snack, or ground into flour for use in baking, puddings and candies, or mixed into dishes such as the sticky rice dumpling known as bajang and in desserts. They are eaten in India because a handful of the seeds a day can make the skin glow and look younger. The antioxidants present in makhanas make them even better for digestion.
